Most colleges across NCR and West UP are affiliated to AKTU or CCS University. Here is how their admission and counselling works — eligibility, exams, rounds and documents.

If you're applying to colleges across Delhi-NCR and western Uttar Pradesh, chances are they're affiliated to one of two universities — AKTU or CCS University, Meerut. Knowing how each admits students helps you avoid missed deadlines and confusion.

AKTU (Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University)

AKTU affiliates most engineering, pharmacy, management and computer-application colleges in the state.

  • Courses: B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA, B.Pharm, B.Arch.
  • Entrance: B.Tech mainly via JEE Main; MBA/MCA via national or state tests.
  • Counselling: state-quota seats are filled through UPTAC counselling (choice filling → seat allotment → reporting).

CCS University, Meerut

CCS affiliates a large number of professional and education colleges across West UP.

  • Courses: B.Ed, LL.B, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.P.Ed, M.Sc, nursing and more.
  • Entrance/eligibility: varies by course — some via state entrance (e.g., B.Ed), many via merit in the qualifying exam.

Documents you'll need

  • Class 10 & 12 mark sheets and certificates
  • Entrance scorecard (JEE/state test) where applicable
  • Photo ID, passport photos, category/EWS certificate (if applicable)
  • Transfer & migration certificate at the time of admission

Management quota

Beyond counselling seats, many private colleges offer a management quota for direct admission — useful if you missed counselling cut-offs, though fees can differ. Always get the fee structure in writing.

Don't miss the dates

Counselling windows are short and unforgiving. Track registration, choice-filling and reporting dates for each university. A free admission counsellor can manage these timelines for you and make sure you don't lose a seat to a missed deadline.
